I put my first birdbox up at the begining of Febuary on a concreate cloths post at the bottom of my small garden after i put the step ladder away I went into the house to ask the boss (wife) if it was ok I then went to my shed for some bird food for my feeders looked up and there was a Bluetit investigating the hole in the box.
The box must have only been there for about 10 minutes
Since then I have seen them at or even in the the box on most days -- fingers crossed!
Pssst! Nudge nudge Wanna see some pictures Here

Amazing! You didn't even have time to get it in the TO LET section of the local rag! Welcome to the forum, by the way.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
My goodness, you were lucky. Hope you are rewarded with a nest.
Hi Janner and welcome to the RSPB Forum
Just shows how Blue Tits never miss a trick at all {I think they have eyes 360 degrees and they see everything in their patch}
They certainly notice all new feeders and all new bird boxes.
Just clever at exploiting what we humans have to offer them

Hi Janner,
Welcome to the forum,
Do you live near me? If so, please can I have my bluetit back? She has deserted her box, complete with camera.
Seriously, congratulations, and fingers crossed.
Cheers, Linda.
