I have a colony of about 30 House Sparrows I think I have the whole population of Petts Wood! I would like to put up some nesting boxes for them I don't know where to put them do you have to have to put them high up on Houses or in trees?
Hi Sally-Anne
The best option for house sparrows in my experience is to put a few single boxes of 32mm entrance holes up under the eaves of your house. Ideally they need to be above two metres and away from main areas of disturbance, away from doors and windows. North or east facing walls are preferable.
By the way, I tweaked your title to better reflect the subject matter!
