This morning we discovered a dead fledgling sparrow underneath the bird box and 2 more dead ones in the box. The ones in the box looked younger than the one out of the box but all had feathers and looked quite healthy. The parents also seemed really attentive. Any ideas why this might have happened and should we take the box down and clean it out? Thanks
awww so sorry to hear that sparrow, can't help you with the question but one of the knowledgeable members will give you some clues I am sure.
