There were too many eggs to count in Box 2 - but the two females seem to have come to some agreement, they have been sharing the incubation and roosting together.
The eggs started hatching on Thursday and now all three parents are working hard to keep them fed - you can read the story and see the photos here::http://www.biggonline.co.uk/
All three parents are working hard to feed the family - as soon as we put out a fresh supply of mealworms - they are there!

I wonder if it's the first time this situation has been so fully recorded and filmed? I can't imagine how they'll cope if most of the eggs hatch! Would there be room for the smaller ones to reach up to be fed?
I should think this has probably been done before. The chicks are growing rapidly - with the help of a regular supply of melworms.
I don't know how to upload photos here - but I hope these two via photobucket wil show.
Thanks Alan - our website has a diary of events, and a link to the cameras showing the live action in two boxes.
