I am registered but would like to download a sheet with the birds that need ticking off on it, as I had last year. Are you still doing this?
Thanks, Val.
Best wishes
Val.
After yesterdays count where we had no starlings (11am-12pm), today 9 showed up fighting and feeding on the bird station.

Infuriating, isn't it. First thing this morning: a coal tit, a chaffinch and a pair of long-tailed tits - all no-shows yesterday.
Re blackcaps - here in London I had the first one visiting regularly the winter before last - then none last year, but this year I have seen both a male and a female so there must be at least two about. They love suet pellets and apples. I was hoping they might nest, but they seem to be winter visitors and they disappear in the spring.
My count today 1 till 2pm
Blackbirds 5
Blue Tits 2
Collared Doves 2
House Sparrows 9
Magpie 1
Robins 3
Starlings 28
Cats 1
Sadly the Dunnocks, Coal Tit, Wren, Chaffinch and Longtailed Tits did not show :(
26 of the Stalings that got spooked and landed in our tree there must have been more but its hard counting so many lol
EDIT
Forgot to add the picture lol

I keep a Tally Counter in my camera bag, Jim. It makes counting so much easier, not just for the BGBW, also for when I'm out and about (Geese, Lapwings, Curlew etc). They're really cheap to buy (see HERE) and you can just click away as your eye passes over the birds.
