Hey MarJus,
I'd no idea you'd made it up either!!!! That makes it even better. Well done.
Cheers, Linda.

Thank you Kathy, Judi and Sparrow for your kind comments! :-)
Hi MarJus
I've always known that you have a special spot for hares, but that is a corker of a shot, and such a beautiful heartfelt poem. You are clever! :-)
Thanks for sharing your special moment with all of us.
I've only ever seen a hare from a long distance away without either a camera/long lens combo or binoculars. I'm envious that you have seen so many close enough to get such great shots of them. Very well done!
Best wishes Chris

Eilid said:Here it is, taken just after watching the hare. Weird eh? :-D One of my favourite shots though despite being so dark
Hi Eilid
A magical shot indeed. I'm sure if you wanted it brightened up a bit then you could do that, but it's just as nice being slightly dark and thought provoking
Thank you very much Chris! I'm so very lucky to see them regularly and they most certainly do hold a very special place in my heart!
A couple of shots from this morning:
As always Marjus, just love your hare photographs and you have certainly been hiding your gift for writing poetry. So apt. Thank you.
Beautiful pictures! So majestic and magical.
I hadn't realised just how much at risk they are until I read the hare protection website. Lots more support needed!
Your poem captures your love and connection to these amazing creatures. It's really special.

I love your pictures once more and they are such such magnificent animals - thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
Never tire of their antics
I was lucky to see them in Scotland all those year ago and they do a still pose when they feel threatened. They freeze and all you can see is their eyes just above the grass stems. They know how to protect themselves from all and sundry.
Another time was when Dave and I visited Rutland, and we saw one which we believe had a near scrap with a car, and was in shock.
We kept an eye on it for a while and it bounced off to the nearest field so we where happy once more.
Really beautiful animals indeed.
Regards
Kathy and Dave
