Good Morning
I am new to the forum. I am a newcomer to the world of birds due to past work commitments, I failed to see what was around me. Now early retirement means I can get to know my garden and how I have fallen in love with it!
Love feeding the birds although I only know a few common ones that visit but hoping to learn from you good folk.
Barefoot between Worlds
Hello Autumnlady, lovely to see you join us and great to hear you are now interested in your birds. They need all the help we can give them.
As previously posted yesterday, same thing happened to me on retirement. I became much more aware and I swear my vision has improved immensely. I 'see' the slightest movements near and far and have learned to operate my camera and fire in one swift automatic instinctive sweep.

Hi Autumnlady,
Welcome to the forum. It is the right place to be. I am also a relative beginner - last Spring was when I first started watching my garden birds. The people on this forum have given me more help than I could have imagined. We are a friendly bunch, and I hope you will join in and enjoy it as much as I do.
Cheers, Linda.

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way
Hello Autumnlady and welcome, I am sure you will enjoy it here.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
