Technology has moved on since the birdwatching days of comedian Eric Morecambe (of Morecambe and Wise fame).
His spotting 'scope is due to go under the hammer at auction in the New Year along with his small library of ornithological titles and a handwritten letter written to him by a fellow comedian-birdwatcher, Bill Oddie.
