Of course, these are entirely optional - you don't have to tell the world this info - but for some people it will be very welcome.

Three days of no community :( I shall just have to watch my spider making its web on the CCTV camera :)
On the upside there will be lots of postings to read when it comes back.
Good Luck to the team with the Upgrade and hope it goes well for you.
Sue
Not being able to post messages for three whole days - that's worse than knitting fog or sewing ones head to the carpet. But I'm sure the new software will be worth it :-)

Looking forward to the update :)

@original goldfinch: doggie has it. You can access anyone's profile page (in the current version and the new version) - just click on their name.
@sparrow: Existing Friends will stay as they are
@eagle-eye: The spellchecker accepts both US and British English as "correct"
Hope that helps.

Are the tech people doing modifications now in anticipation of the change? I ask because I am unable to see the Web Cam. All I get is a black screen and the buffering wheel goes around and around. I have a Mac and have Flip 4 Mac installed. it worked fine for the last 3 years. I got a prompt to update it and since then I can't see the Nest.
Any Ideas on how I can correct this?
Thanks

Probably slightly off piste as they say...
Whilst the site will be down during the upgrade, will the camera still be running?
If it is, I could knock up a temporary solution so that all and sundry can still watch what's going on.
Just a thought
Simon

It does help. Thanks Graham.

Hi Barbara
I'm no whizz kid when it comes to this stuff, but I'd hazard a guess that since the update you may well have a warning somewhere on screen about "Blocked Content" which is pretty standard after updates, if such a warning exists just click "Allow Blocked Content" hoefully this will solve the issue?
@Barbara Jean: the webcams are unrelated and will not be affected. We are investigating this separately.

Simon Thanks but I didn't see any "Blocked content" I am also not having any problems with other sites.
It appears that Macs are not popular in the UK. They are widely used here in the USA
