I wanted to take this opportunity to explain why there wasn’t a Good Egg Award given out for February. As I know many of you folks are aware, we have experienced a number of gremlins this past couple of months as we find our feet getting the site functioning to the best of it’s potential, registration issues, pictures and posts vanishing and such like - it's equally frustrating at this end and thats why we thought it illogical to give out a GEA for February. As the wildlife team know as much about website technicalities as the birds do, all I can say is this, I assure you that our technical support staff are making steps to resolve the server issues we have all been experiencing.
The good news is that the community has grown far faster than we ever expected! On the flip side, our old world severs struggle to keep up and get confused quite easily you see. So in short, and as primarily a conservation charity were not at a level where we expect everything to run as smoothly as say facebook (who also have there fair share of issues!). We will obviously continue making every effort to ensure that you all can use the site as intended, with minimal errors but please do bear with us!

Thanks Lloyd!! I don't envy those techies one bit!! Running websites and forums must be such a challenge! The main thing is that it is being looked into and hopefully will eventually be resolved!! Thanks for keeping us updated and have a great Easter weekend!!

Forums are not easiest to run at the best of times, and are time consuming and expensive (depending how you view it)

Thanks for the update, Lloyd! I wouldn't have a clue with regards to managing a forum or community-based website but can appreciate its hard work!
It certainly is Paul. I am a Moderator on one and a Super Moderator on another and to do it properly you need to read every single post - that's in between watching the birds, of course, (being the reason I have my computer in front of the window and my cameras next to my computer). Got a feeling there may be a vacuum cleaner and something called polish somewhere in the house but neither see the light of day very often LOL.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

LOL! Well its perfectly understandable that they're hidden away - you'd be far too busy!
