Birds not eating RSPB Feeder Mix

I have just changed from RSPB Favourites Blend Extra to Feeder Mix. The sunflower seeds in the Feeder Mix are husked. The feed is in a RSPB Classic Peanut feeder.

This summer the feeders have been taken over by larger birds, such as Starlings, Great Spotted Woodpeckers, and Magpies. They gobble up soaked mealworms and like the RSPB jumbo suet blocks. Unfortunately the Feeder Mix isn't being eaten.

Can someone please advise. I have a 12kg sack of Feeder Mix...

Are you getting the target species coming in to feed - that means Great & Blue Tit, Robins, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Sparrow? or have the Maggies, GSW and others scared them off?

Fortunately the sack of Feeder Mix has now been eaten.

The RSPB Classic Seed Feeder has been partially destroyed, however. Not sure if Greater Spotted Woodpeckers or squirrels are responsible.

I would place my bets on grey squirrels as the destroyers....Best trying to squirrel proof feeders as if they can get partial access they will just chew threw it. I use a feeding pole with a baffle dome so squirrels have no access ;-)

I've seen Great and Bluetits, heard Greenfinches, Chaffinches, and the odd Sparrow. It was my understanding that Robins were ground feeders.

The bigger birds have definitely muscled in on the feeders this summer; there seems to have been more Starlings around. Ring Necked Parakeets are very common around West London...
