Blackbird Nest

Hi all I've recently had a blackbird nest just outside my back door, in a covered ally way between the house and garage (I named her Harriet). Very smart considering the weather we've had of late if you ask me..

She had laid 5 eggs but only 3 hatched and this morning it was with heavy heart that I stood and watched the last one fly the nest. Now I know how Tony Soprano felt when his ducks left..

The nest is still there and there is an unhatched egg in it. How long shall I leave it there before removing it?

I don't want Harriet coming back to find that I've destroyed her nest.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Mike.
