There is a blackbird nest in my garden and this morning the female of that nest flew into our house whilst renovation were happening, got frightened and flew into the window where she then died.
I'm now very concerned for the chicks. Will the male be able to cope on his own? I have a worm farm, if I put out some worms for him would that help the chicks survive?
A very sad event to have witnessed, do you know how far advanced the chicks are without actually approaching the nest? Easy to get at worms will definitely help, you can watch to see if male parent is taking food to the young, for expert advice contact ...
