Hi everyone, This is my first post so apologies if I get this wrong. I was without a garden for many years and now have a large, wild garden next to a wooded area. It is heaven, but today I am very upset. I have a lot of wild birds and a fledgling blackbird was sitting alone by one of the ground feeders- I left it alone, as I know I am supposed to, hoping Mum and Dad would come down. Next minute I looked out and it was being attacked by magpies- it couldn't get away fast enough and hurt its leg. Blackbirds came down, but I think it is too late. So, very sad. I am disabled so will get outside and move it. I'm afraid, in my garden.I will have to move any fledglings into bushes to protect them.
