They do seem to change the landscape quite a bit,if I was an owner of a wooded area with a suitable stream/pond not sure if I would support this.

The beavers ability to change the habitat around them would need to be a major factor in the location of any reintroduction project thats for sure.
Think it's funny that around 140 beavers went practically unnoticed in the Tayside area for about 10 years!! That says it all to me! :-)

Saw these 'gnawed' stumps at the Loch of the Lowes Nature reserve when there last September, but no beavers alas!
