Happy New Year everyone!
Great start with lovely captures of our pair ... but mighty strange about that 'third' one ... maybe a late 'first footer' Lol!
Good to have some colour Scylla, hope you are continuing to improve!
Gales seem to be a bit of a fixture just lately, another blow overnight promised here, stay safe all!

Can somebody please tell them it really is OK to go in the Box.
Thanks both

I did plead with that one last night, Kate, but it didn't listen to me!
Thanks for the overnight scaps, Scylla :)
19:38 EN/EB at present
20:44 In it came, did its usual PS, then flew to the back beam. Stayed there for about a minute then came onto the middle beam.
Saw it when it was trying to hide way over on right!
2nd owl in 21:25
'Flapper' by name and nature with this owl! It has been all around the barn, front, back, side of box and down! Lots of soft trilling calls. The first owl wasn't bothered by its presence.
21:30 After this scap it flew low down to the right
Then, the original BO came to the front beam before turning around and flying low to the left and stayed in the gap between the sheet and wooden boards for a minute or so before flying quickly up and out of the barn at 21:34 (missed that scap unfortunately.
I haven't seen 'Flapper' leave the barn. I wonder if it's a male 'showing off''? I haven't seen a courtship routine from a BO before - that's if #1 is a female. There is certainly no animosity between the pair of them.
22:06 One on the back beam
Not a lot of movement just now is there Sandra?
It's been preening while on the back beam and has just left the barn at 22:35
Oh dear, switched off too soon!!
Oh dear! Did you watch the pair of them in the barn earlier?
No, missed that, was dozing!
