...when I don't have my camera with me!
Yesterday took a trip up to the shops and came back via the burn path and what do I see, a buzzard, and he sat nicely about 6 metres away from me! Couldn't believe it, he even opened his wings a couple of times posing nicely before flying off to a different tree! They always do that to me!
I think I'll get myself a little pocket camera that I can keep with me all the time!

I had a similar experience but with a Red Kite and when I came home my son looked at me in amazement and asked why I had not used my camera on my mobile phone! To my generation a phone is for speaking to folks with!!!!

Yes I do, but it isn't great, not one of those fancy camera phones, like you my phone is for phone calls not photos lol

I know it's no consolation but I do it all the time - I see so many things and think "Oh I wish I had the camera" that it's become a sort of mantra with me on a daily basis! I haven't seen a buzzard ever so I can completely empathise with you on that one.

I always make sure I have my mobile with me. It takes a decent enough picture @ 5mp and can be zoomed.Means you never miss an opportunity - never had an opportunity yet but I will be ready when I do Its ok for men who don't have to carry a bulging handbag, a shopper and goodness knows what else to have a camera strapped to their waist. Oh no what have I said I can hear the groans of discontent now !!!

Haha I don't think my phones camera even registers on the mp scale lol It's alright if you're REALLY close but no good for anything over a couple of feet away.
