Been out since about 9 this morning, well, its Sunday. Walked round Eggie Park for about 3 hours Had Bullfinches this morning, haven't seen them for ages, lots for fieldfare and redwing, blackbirds,yellowhammer, siskin , goldfinch, blue, great, long tail tits. greenfinch, chaffinch, linnet, grey wagtails, mallard, wigeon, tuftie, Buzzard, Kestrel, song thrush, mistle thrush, robin, wren,coot,moorhen jackdaw,rook carrion, magpie. Woodpigeon. BH gull. Then down to Troon just as the tide was turning, BH gull, Herring Gull, GBB gull, Common gull, Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Sanderling, Turnstone Redshank, Oystercatcher, Curlew,Knot, Eiders, Cormorant, Shag ,Dunnock, starlings and others already mentioned from the park, All in all a good few hours outdoors - nothing out of the ordinary but all a pleasure to see.
That is a very impressive list Susan. How wonderful to see so many in just one day. You are lucky to have somewhere like that near enough to visit easily on a day trip.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hi Susan
Great trip for you this morning and a great list of birds too. A nice day trip just cheers up the soul any time.
The weather was such a disappointment yesterday abd it was good to take advantage of the sunshine today. {smile}

Kathy and Dave
