Titchwell & N Norfolk Part 1

Back in Oct we decided to stay a few days on the north Norfolk coast and celebrate my wife's birthday as an excuse to visit Titchewll, Holkham and Cley Marshes.

The two hotels and food were great and we had lots of sightings along the coast.

Titchwell       Great White Egret frighting the geese.

Golden Plovers by the thousands, too many to get in one shot.

There were 6 Spoonbills about but never spooning together.

A number of Curlew on the various scrapes.

And Egrets of various sizes.

Dunlin

Such a beautiful coast line & landscape with so many places to see birds and willdlife. Part 2 to follow and hope you enjoy our travels.

  • Nice to see the spoonbills Tony. We also had a trip here in October, they just had 2 and they were a long way away. Nice selection of photo's.

  • Lovely start Tony, looking forward to part 2 already. My abiding memory of the north Norfolk coast is getting cut off by the tide at North Hunstanton, and having to wade through thigh deep sea holding my camera gear above my head. Unfortunately my car keys (electronic fob) were in my trouser pocket, and cost a fortune to get repaired so we could drive anywhere! Ohh... and Mrs PB putting the wrong info in a King Lyn car park machine and us getting a parking ticket!!
