It was cold, dull and windy here yesterday afternoon ........ but at least it wasn't raining! It seemed like a good idea to go to Landguard Point, to see what was about:
I'm inclined to think that this is a young great black-backed gull, as the beak looks quite big.

Finishing with a wood pigeon who looked most put out at being discovered minding its own business (eating).

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
