Wow Al you do take pics after all LOL :-) Nice views of the Ythan I have no Idea where that Is but It looks a good place to watch wildlife,keep your pics coming nice to see your part of the world.

Looks grand up your way! How do you pronounce it, then, Ythan? Why-than? Ithan? Eethan?

Would be so cool to see an Osprey! Don't get many of them around here, I don't think the river Wye would suit them much.

The birds look as if they are bedding down out of the squally showers.

I must look up the Ythan in my atlas. I am assuming it is near Aberdeen?

You certainly saw some fantastic birds on your walk, keep posting the photos!

TY folks Aye  the Ythan is a great place . has the biggest  conley of Eiders in Europe.

I was having a ball watching the Little terns diving for fish but tryin to get a photo of them with my camera was like trying to catch smoke.

Corrie we pronounce it ITHAN .

did try to see the King Eider Boy he is a beuity but he must have been out at sea on friday Pity but thems the breakes.

The Ythan is only 11 miles from Aberdeen and the most recorded Salt marsh in the UK I think it is.

Such an amasing place and will be back soon I hope.

Just found one of my old notebooks .

Last time I saw a King Eider was June 1993 . That was on the Ythan too!

Great photos.

I presume the brown birds with the Eiders are the females.

Is it the Eider that lines its nest with its own down feathers? A true eiderdown!!!!!
