This little Wren showed himself, when I was out and about.
Hope you enjoy the shots.
You don't realise how small they are, I kept losing it through the lens. He sat and sang his song before disappearing again.

Wonderful photos Buzzard. Well done you!
(Don't suppose you have a photo of a cuckoo that you've taken this year have you? I've never seen one)
Best wishes
Diana
Great shots Buzzard, we have two nesting just behind our fence and they come into the garden to feed, but can I catch the little things - no, plenty of shots of the trees though, they move that damned fast

Hi Diana, I haven't managed any Cuckoo shots yet.
I have seen two upto now, so hopefully if I have my camera at hand and I happen to be in the correct place I will get some shots.
Lovely shots, Buzzard. Such an elusive bird, made even more difficult to photograph because it is so tiny. Well done.
Cheers, Linda.

Thanks Buzzard.
I heard my first Cuckoo (for this year) around here today. Wonderful. We didn't get any here at all last year - and there was talk of their being in decline - so fingers crossed there are more sightings around the country and they are on the increase again.
Kind regards
PS Our little wren is always the first one up (and first to sing!) and last to bed each day - but very shy .... so I haven't managed to get any photos of her as yet. She's too fast!

Hi Buzzard
Great shots as usual. How on earth do you manage to get these birds to pose for you? Whenever I see a wren it usually scuttles for cover pdq.
Is that the same bramble that the stonechat posed for you? LOL
Regards TJ

Hi TJ,
yes it was the same bramble bush the Stonechat was on.
Well done for spotting it.

I had no idea. i was just jesting. It must have been a "fruitful" location. There I go again!
Buzzard, thank you for your lovely photographs of a small and elusive beauty.
Thanks Buzzard for the photos, the wren is one of my favourite visitors, we have 2, a pair I think, nesting in the garden, but can I get a photo, No!, they're just so quick. I listen out to find where they are, point the camera and wait and wait some more to find they've been really sneaky and flown off without me even seeing them!.
Regards
Kerry
