Birding today

OK heres some photos from todays walk along the River Don and down to the  River mouth. Dont look at the date lol I have no idea how to switch that off yet as I only got the camera a couple of days ago and this was the first time out with it .

It did good even got a few shots through the scope  The Heron and the Sandwich terns.

ok lets see if I can get this to load up lol

 

Hope ye like them Now all I need do is get better at taking photos through the scope lol.

  • Birds seen today ...... (Now that Ive found my notebook)

    In the park :-

    Mallard Drakes

    Swallows   (First time this year)

    House martin (Also first time this year)

    Mute Swans   (nesting)

    Blackcap (first sighting of one for me so was well chuffed)

    2 Buzzards being mobbed by crows ( Tried to get a photo or 2 of that but all I got was  cloud lol)

    Heron

    Down the Don Mouth :-

    Oystercatcher

    Sandwich Terns

    Common Terns

    Artic Terns

    Sandpiper

    Grey Wagtail

    Pied Wagtail

    Grater Black back Gull

    Lesser Black back Gull

    Herring Gull

    Black Headed Gull

    in the scrub :-

    3 Wrens

    All in all It was a fun day if a bit on the cold and wet side  But thats Aberdeen for ye.

    Good to see some pics of your day,good shots with your new toy.Don't worry about the date at least you knew how to switch It on .LOL.:0).That Is a long list well done you to see all those Birds.You must be use to the weather up there,at least you had a fun day.

    That's a great list of birds and as they don't seem to mind the weather so neither should we.  Just wrap up warm and dry and get out there.  You must be well used to doing that up there where you live.

    I am learning to take photos through the scope too.  Tricky isn't it?  First find the bird... !  

    Lovely to see the terns - I am loking forward to seeing some this year.  Fingers crossed.

    I must admit I have a great place to go birdwatching  with the river the woodland and the  Rivermouth all within a 3 mile walk . Im kinda lucky .

    The taking of photos through the scope was a bit of a hit  or miss But it will get better with  the more i use it.
