Hi Guys, Today I went to my local RSPB Reserve (Old Moor) & was treated by seeing a Male Marsh Harrier, which also looked like It was nest building. Fingers crossed Its successfull. I have seen them here before, but only passing through. As far as I know this Is the first time a Marsh Harrier has been seen nest building..

Hello, This Is the best picture I could get as It was early & the reserve wasnt open & It was taken at a distance. You can clearly see the markings of this fantastic bird.
Wow!! That's superb! I'd be very pleased with it! Can't wait to see what you achieve from inside then!!!
Wow that is a great photo. You are so lucky to have seen it

Brilliant photograph. Would be great to hear any updates from you.
Great photo Sean.... Hope it's successful with it's nesting and stays at Old Moor for a while!

Hi Guys, I will of course keep updates of the Marsh Harrier & because of the possible nesting, the area has been cordoned off because the bird come first, but I will try to get some more pics. I am going back out In the morning, bright & early (Very early Indeed). Watch this space..
Regards.
Hello again, Just an update on the Marsh harrier, Ive been out & about since I posted & can confirm that the Marsh Harrier has been collecting nesting material & Is still on the reserve, so fingers crossed that he finds a mate & settles down on Old Moor.
Thank you so much for the update Sean. I really hope he finds a mate.
