That’s strange I must have heard them too but can’t remember doing so unless I had headgear covering my ears and I was concentrating with the movie Hazel? We might be a little later this year with it being milder so this month might be better or even next month!!
Nice video clip James! It’s so fascinating to see the murmuration of starlings; fantastic acrobatic mass. We are really lucky to watch this video as the starling population has crashed by over 70% in recent years.
Nice bit of video James,we are still looking for a good Starling roost in our area this year but have only found small ones of a few hundred so far.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Thanks, Lukasz S, Pete, this was taken at the same place 2011
A bit more civilised place than the best we found last winter, this was at the edge of an exposed reservoir in the Dales about 1100 feet above sea level. On the afternoon we went it was snowing and blowing a galewe were probably the only silly beggars on the hill that day but worth the effort.
We all have to be silly beggars at times Pate :)
That's what keeps some of us going nowadays Jim,got old enough not to worry about being a bit daft, just blame it on the meds LOL
