As the weather has really improved this month, I have been very busy with a number of projects.
I have also picked some of the days with clear blue skies to go and revisit areas of interest to try and get better photo's with the sun on some of the birds that I shot on the colder drab days.
I was lucky enougth to get relatively close to this male Goldcrest, you can seperate the male and female by the colours on the crown. The male has an orange tinge mixed in with the yellow!
Europes smallest bird, not the easiest of birds to photo!
Here are some of the shots.

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way
Oh Buzzard, you have done it again. A wonderful series of photos, and what a beautiful bird. I have only ever seen one, and that was on a feeder at Lake Vyrnwy RSPB reserve. I couldn't believe how tiny he was.
Thank you for sharing these, and also the others you have posted today. Congratulations by the way on making the photos stay put!!!!!
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Buzzard,
Lovely photos, cute little bird with lovely colours!

Another great sequence of photos, Buzzard. They really are such tiny little birds which it is difficult to appreciate until you see them live. I especially like your second photo. You don't often see the crest from above like that.

Brilliant set of photos. Takes some doing getting such lovely shots. I am busy trying to "catch" the resident wren who moves so quickly all I ever get is the ground.

What lovely photos buzzard and what a beautiful little bird. I don't want to jinx things but I have been able to see all pics for the last couple of days?

Hi everyone,
thanks ever so much for your kind words!
The last few outings with my camera has produced what I think are my best photo's upto now!!
I have taken on board all the advice I have been given from the numerous people I have met, who were amateur and semi - professional photographers.
I still have so much to learn about photography and I'm really enjoying my new found interest and the pleasures of sharing my experiences.
SB: you are so right about having patience. The other thing is having some food to bring your quarry to you and been in the right place at the right time!
Such wonderful little birds and very nice shots of them. They're very wren like aren't they or is that my inexperienced eye speaking - what about their calls are they similar?
EDIT: Before I get told off, I meant stature not markings, and I know they are smaller.....but I thought I would just ask as I have never seen one before!
