By way of a change, a walk around the reserve, spot the birds for a bonus

Lovely photographic tour JC - very calming! Looks a great place to be - what make was the horse?

John, Thanks so much for the lovely tour! Gorgeous scenery! We stayed in one of those Coastguard Cottages something like 20 years ago! Made it soooo easy for our most manic early-riser guest to walk down to Minsmere (with her bazooka!) before dawn, leaving the rest of us to sleep in! Joined her there later at a slightly more reasonable hour!
Kind regards, Ann
Wendy, I think it's a Konik pony - they keep them about.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Yes Wendy, as Clare has stated they are Koniks, often to be seen grazing the reserve, they rip reeds off like there is no tomorrow:-)
