By way of a change, a walk around the reserve, spot the birds for a bonus

Thanks, John - a most familiar and lovely sight!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
The views wouldn't be complete without the whopping lenses!
Lenses Clare? I thought they were Bazookas:-)
LOL! They would pass for a bazooka, wouldn't they?
........and another bonus, yonder the white painted Coastguard Cottages 'Mother Nature' has just put her best frock away for this year as the weather has just about passed over the best of the calluna and bell heathers on Westleton and Dunwich Heaths, the good news is there is always next year:-)
Beautiful colours in the top two pictures, John. The third picture is more subtle but just as attractive.
Further over in Westleton Heath on the edge of Dunwich Forest where it can be a little more sheltered the colours can be equally spectacular, I'm not sure if the B/F is a Silver Studded Blue but they are to be seen in this area
Stunning, John! I don't know what the butterfly is but it's beautiful, anyway.
