A recent study into mixed roosts of lesser kestrels and jackdaws has revealed an interesting relationship between these species. The study looked into what was gained from such a relationship given that usually corvids and raptors are wary of each other, corvids often mobbing birds of prey. By sharing roosts and tolerating each other it allows both species to benefit from the others vigilance and anti-predator responses. There is an article about this on the BBC site here
