Hi my name is cate, i'm 20yrs old and looking for information for my project.
I would like to know how to get hold of the fish intake rate on the ospreys at loch garten and whether this is affected by weather conditions, age of bird etc. Last month i tried to contact the RSPB about this but have had no reply. Would appreciate any information on this area.
Thanks
Cate
Thank you for the quick reply, have posted and now waiting for replies

Have a look at the book "A life of Ospreys" by Roy Dennis wich gives some interesting info.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Great thanks will do
You could also try looking for supporting background data on the British Trust for Ornithology website. You might be lucky!
:-)
Seriously thinking about trying harder!
Hi Cate
I know the Loch Garten blogs have been suggested to you, though you will have to trawl through the text to get out the fishing information.
The other resource which Tiger suggested on the LG forum but didn't give a link to, is the Dyfi Osprey Project. This is a new nest in West Wales this year, which has raised 3 chicks to fledging. The project manager Emyr has been charting fish deliveries to the nest, which may make the information more accessible - look in this folder. (By the way, Monty is the male osprey!)
