Even though Im vegetarian I don’t get over sentimental either. I didn’t say I was against it. Also I didn’t say there was anything wrong with humane culling. I said I would prefer it if people didnt cull deer but it does have to be done sometimes. I also said they do control Gray squirrels sometimes if there’s red squirrels in the area or if there’s too much of them. I said about the introduction of the pine Martin in the Forest of Dean they started a few years ago to drive off the gray Squirrels and they hope it will be a success. it could be years until they find out weather there work pays off. But I figured you might find it interesting. Of course like you said the population is probably not big enough at the moment. But The introduction scheme is still in the early phases.
This is about the Blue fin Tuna. And it’s conservation. Its from last year it’s worth the watch and I think you will find it interesting

Yes I have seen the video.
Sadly we still have a lot to learn about all wildlife. There will be many species we've yet to see, but what I find very concerning, while there is a lot on plastic waste and forest destruction, little, or from where I am, nothing, is being said about urban sprawl and development, it still progresses at an accelerating rate.
I'm not a scientist, but I have observed with thermometers, the greatly increased urban temperatures, ground and air temps, vs open country temperatures!
Even in my own back garden, which is very urban even though I'm lucky to have a lot of greenery, trees etc around me, which fortunately is more grass than brick and concrete, the patio temps are far higher, almost 10ºC at times, than the exposed grass!
You may have seen a post I placed earlier, regarding the UK governments Environment Act 2021, where they have not laid out sufficient countryside growth plans, most likely so they can get nearer the acclaimed house building targets with least obstruction.
I'm waffling on and digressing, but in a roundabout way, it's all connected.

Urban areas are warmer than The sarounding countryside. It’s called the Heat island affect and is even more obvious in very Urbanised areas like Towns and Citys

That's right.
I avoided using the term Heat Islands, but it is a real series of facts, and the one issue which isn't being tackled in my book. If they were tackled head on, then all house building would stop, all road building would stop, and HS2 would never have got off the ground.
