In 2013 there were plans to develop Bury farm in Edgware as an 18 hole golf course. Many members of the RSPB objected as there are rare birds on the site. They withdrew the application but have now submitted it again with a few tweaks. They state that they are making provision to accommodate the birds and other wildlife on the finished site. Large scale tipping will take place in order to get the land the way they want it and this will take 6 years. The wildlife and rate birds will be long gone. Please object to this development. Petition can be found on Barnet.gov.uk. Or write to the planning officer. Please help or this farm will be lost for ever and with it the birds and the local wildlife.
