With the pathetic sentence handed to Allen Lambert for his prolific poisoning of birds of prey perhaps it is time for the RSPB to use it members to lobby Parliament about proper sentences for wildlife crime. This crime should have attracted a minimum of 1 year in jail for every bird poisoned, the sentences to run consecutively. In stead of the RSPB representing its members in cases like this perhaps it should be using its members better. One million people individually writing to their MPs demanding proper sentences for wildlife crime and a law of vicarious liability in England has to be more powerful than one voice representing one million people.
