I was at Edinburgh Doors Open Door today - University of Edinburgh Biological Sciences Dept today and was speaking to a PhD student who is recording the progress of spring in woodlands across the UK by using volunteers to follow individual trees http://www.trackatree.org.uk. I thought some members might be interested (if you are not already involved).
"Track a Tree is looking for volunteer recorders to collect observations of woodland trees and flowering plants during successive springs. Your records will shed light on the seasonal timing of UK woodlands, and how changes in climate could affect them."
