  • Thats very true indeed the most penetratibg view for me from among all the Iberian raptors. The coulr of its eyes turns from yellowish to completey red when this bird is about three or four years old

  • Its a Goshawk, sometimes nesting in small fragmented forests with pine trees dispersed throughout the vast plains of steppe in central Spain.

  • I would never have guessed it was a juvenile Goshawk. The plumage that I can see looks similar to a Kestrel or Red Kite so I would have been mistaken. Nice shot.

  • Yes that is a Goshawk...but i have the "little" advantage regarding you of having seen the adult ones around the nest :)
