admittedly it’s not a bird but......
we have a series of holes in the garden made by a rodent species. There are circa 10 along the line of the path and garden about 4-6cm in diameter.
i managed to get a picture of the animal in question (albeit only from my phone) and I’d guess it was about 15cm in length. It had no obviously long tail and fairly small ears.
I wondered if anyone could confirm what species it is?
