The pair showed up on 13th March & were checking out the nest - here's hoping..............
Have posted all I've taken today, unedited, as I'm so excited!!! They both flew off & now Mr Kestrel has returned to nest & sitting, waiting like a spider in the middle of a web! Just going to video him

Thanks Angie, all pic & vids were captured with point & shoot Canon SX40 ... have since bought SX50 for the extra zoom but not nearly such a good resolution, quite disappointing but I wouldn't be able to cope with weight of 'proper' camera with equivalent lens!
And now I don't have the Kestrels nesting this year or last ... boohoo!
Hi Wendy, just been reading through this thread, not every post I will add, but a lot of it. I had remembered snippets from here last year. Shame the lovely Kesterels never returned this year either, I wonder why? They are beautiful birds.
