The pair showed up on 13th March & were checking out the nest - here's hoping..............
Have posted all I've taken today, unedited, as I'm so excited!!! They both flew off & now Mr Kestrel has returned to nest & sitting, waiting like a spider in the middle of a web! Just going to video him

Superb shots and great video. I'm wondering if the aggressive behaviour in the video is because the other bird that arrived was a rival male? To me both birds appear to be male. Your pictures clearly show both Male and Female but to me that video seems to show two male birds? What do others think

Plover - how observant you are - you have picked up on what we all have missed - I have studied the vid again & clearly they are both male & am amazed I didn't notice before - all the excitement I suppose plus the fact that I had been observing a male & female!!! I am now kicking myself for missing that! Specsavers - here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wendy, whatever, you still managed to capture a super piece of natural wildlife. How fortunate you are to be able to record this footage.
Very well sptted PLOVER. I watched WENDY'S video a few times and didn't notice. :-((
WENDY!!! Long time, no speak - and look what you've come up with :o AMAZZZING! I adore these little raptors and can't wait to see more of your beautiful pictures and videos (better quality than a lot of webcams we could name).
I thought that the ill-tempered one was a female and the other a male :-/
