In my garden.....

So instead of starting a new discussion everytime I get new visitors or decent shots of wildlife in the garden I shall just keep adding to this one.

So today it was the Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 of them chasing each other around the trees

Just managed to catch the 2 of them together

Then it was Woodpecker v Starlings....yes I see yous up there

Move out of my way as am coming up...

I said moooooove...

you were warned...

ah...peace to eat at last..

I Dont mind sharing with the dunnock though, just those pesky starlings I dont like lol

Dunnock, robin and thrush happily hopping about together

Gorgeousredwing still around

Flying without wings.....

I just like the different colours of the trees and sky not all grey for a change!

Mr & Mrs RRB (bad pic but it difficult to get them together)

and up last its a wee lollipop

Think that will do for today as I have probably bored you all long enough lol

  • Only a couple from today...

Dunnock looking for his mate to play chase or just sick of me lol

    Mr Sparra enjoying the sun

Mr GT  letting the wind dry his feathers!

Hope your all safe and well.

  • Well nothing new to report today...oh apart from this big guy came down from his tree for a drink...

And staying with the pond....my pair of blackbird were enjoying themselves

    Mrs BB in first....

Shes having a splash while MR BB drinks her dirty water lol

Then in together.....but not for long as they got chased out with the pigeons...then the squirrel

    Poor wee guy wasnt happy...

Had to dry his feathers on the fence as his Mrs flew off...

I felt so sorry for him

I think I will need to get an appointment system in order for the pond if this hot weather continues!

  • O'h he does look sorry for himself!!! He'll be fine though once he has fluffed his feathers back up. Great pics Linda, you will have to put out a dish with more water for them all to drink and bathe at the same time if this weather stays dry. I felt sorry for the rabbits in the fields today as they ground is rock hard and you can see where they are digging for some tender shoots which are just not around at the moment.

    Lot to learn

  • Nature can't beat a bit of communal bathing!

    Fab photos Lynda

  • They do love their bathing, lovely set Linda.

  • The gulls seem to be coming in the garden for their daily drink even when I was sitting out there...

And then starlings had their bath in peace...there was 3 in there somewhere!

Then up on the fence for a good shake of the feathers...

Next up to the sky.....anyone care to identify lol

Then in pops mr and mrs chaffi

    Sparra acting shy...

And one of my lovely woodpeckers

    A couple still nest building...

And the star of the show is wee RRBs....

    Bath time.....

Great tit walking the tight rope......

Well it was a lovely day in the garden again...hope you are all safe and well.
