A walk around Rainham Marshes.

Hi Folks

Not been doing much just recently after being made redundant, but today I felt I had to get out and enjoy the sun, and in the end I went to one of my favourite haunts, Rainham Marshes in London. The weather was glorious and there was a blue sky with a very gentle breeze. There were Reed Buntings, Warblers and Sedge Warblers calling all over the place and as usual they were so quick it was hard to get photos, there were even Cettis announcing their presence but not showing it.

This was the usual view I got as I raised the camera :o(

Getting closer but not perfect, I think these last two were Reed Warblers but I will happily stand corrected.

Whitethroat ? not 100% on this one so if anyone can tell me I would be grateful.

Wood pigeon on the board walk.

Little Blue Butterfly, unsure of its proper name, sorry,

This Chiffchaff was enjoting the sun and calling away to its hearts content and was not fussed by me and the camera.

Distant Little Grebe sprucing itself up I didn't notice all the insects on the water at the time.

Come on in the water looks lovely, well for Frogs that is.

What some people will do to get aerial shots of Rainham.

This Dandelion? was huge almost the size of my fist.

No Idea on this plant, any ideas?

Deadly Nightshade?

When I grow up I'm going to be a ?

Regards

Shane
