Red Hot Day at Rainham Marshes!

Our thanks to Pat and Howard for a superb afternoon in the blistering heat at Rainham Marshes on Friday 27th July with sightings of Avocets, Godwits, Knots, Sandpipers, Lapwings, Shanks, Harriers, Wimbrel and a Peregrine swooping in causing all the waders to take flight. A friendly Water Vole and the sounds of Marsh Frogs and Bearded Tits was capped off with the confirmed sighting of a Marsh Sandpiper which was a life sighting for all of my family. So next time we are down this neck of the woods we'll be sure to make a whole day of it.
