Those who know me won't be surprised to hear that I was photographing dragonflies and damselflies at Rainham today!
There were a decent number of Ruddy Darters and Blue-tailed Damselflies about
and several Black-tailed Skimmers, including this teneral male
...and finally I found just this one Emerald Damselfly
I also saw Azure and Common Blue Damselflies, and a single Common Darter and a female Emperor. No other hawkers, and no Scarce Emeralds yet, so you could say that the best is still to come!

Hi Jerry
Nice photos of great little creatures at one of my favourite reserves, I love the way you caught the sheen on the wings in the 3rd photo.

As ever Jerry, a fantastic selection of images. Scarce Emeralds should be around now but we can not find any yet. Saw the first Brown Hawkers of the year at Rye Meads yesterday.3
