First Visit

Paid our first ever visit to the wetlands on Good Friday and very impressed - the reed beds were amazing and although we didnt see anything unusual in them we were gifted (thanks to a lovely lady and her daughter who were obviously old hands at spotting and pointed it out to us) with a look at our first every firecrest and my first close up view of goldcrests. We also spent a lovely hour in the hide watching a very friendly toad getting amorous and listening to some wonderful birdsong including a booming bittern and was even rewarded with a beautiful sunset and a view out of the cafe window onto I believe a buzzard looking for his tea - Cant wait to return now, hopefully find the lagoons next time too
