Redwing, Robin, Goldcrest

It's not been too productive on the main reserve recently but the hedgerow of Perry Lane has been amazing!

It's packed with Redwing feeding on the hawthorn berries.

This is only a record shot but for the first time I can see how the Redwing got its name - not just for the small reddish patches glimpsed when it's wings are at rest but for the underwing seen in flight.

Tucked away in the hedgerow but sometimes joining the Long-Taied Tits there are Goldcrest

The Robins are so confiding!
