.....but it wasn't exactly quiet. In fact, these two creatures were anything but quiet!
This was going on at the car park entrance - they didn't bat an eyelid at me snapping away at them from my portable hide (my car!). It's certainly the closest I've ever got to pheasants when they're scrapping. I hope you all enjoy these.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Great sequence. Clearly all was not well with these two.
Lovely set off photos Clare, all is not well with those two!! Hope there were no injuries.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
How interesting to witness this Clare ... some kind of territorial dispute maybe??
Great images!

Thanks for the comments. I was assuming that, with all the lovely female pheasants about, the dispute was over who gets to enjoy them all.
Great photos Clare. Our pheasants always seem to be displaying and fighting over the females, but this is a lovely sequence that captures the drama.
