Visit to Middleton Lakes with the grandchildren.

Following our enjoyable visit last week we returned with daughter and son-in-law and 2 grandchildren.

The play meadow activities were appreciated by all ages, big hits were the tree for climbing/dangling and the pond dipping (water louse, diving beetle, snails, frog tadpoles with legs, water mites, demoiselle nymphs, damsel fly nymphs, dragonfly nymphs and a few unidentified nymphs).

After lunch at the picnic tables we took a leisurely stroll to the river, via the woodland walk, canal and lakes and on returning our grandson enrolled with enthusiasm to the young explores club.

Staff and volunteers all very welcoming, we will return !
