If you go down to the woods today look out for a BIG surprise!
The volunteer work party have been out and installed what looks like an ordinary branch on the bank of the Langley Brook, to the left of the bench. It is in fact a Kingfisher perch.
The waters below are teaming with fish and the hope is that the kingfisher will use the branch as a perch to search for food before diving into the water.
So next time you are walking through the woods, why not take a seat and wait? If you're lucky, you may see a peckish kingfisher perching on its new post - but remember to stay silent!
