Spring at Middleton

Most of the migrants are back from their winter grounds and middleton lakes is full of bird song and blossom.

The nuts outside the office window are now barely touched too so there is obviously plenty of wild food becoming available to the nuthatches, woodpeckers, finches and tits.

On the reserve, contractors are finishing off the latest landscaping and we are having some viewpoints added to the public right of way. The main wetlands still remain closed to the public but we are hopeful of opening withing the next 12 months all being well.
