Spotted a white pheasent at Kinnordy today, really pretty bird!
Perhaps not surprisingly, he didn't hang around for long! Not much else to report from todays visit, no ospreys unfortunately but I did see a brown hare in one of the farm fields and a bunch of the other usual visitors to the reserve. A pair of black headed gulls seemed particularly keen on creating the next generation!
There were two of them around last year and the gamekeepers were trying to keep them over beside the house....not what the pheasants wanted obviously!!!
I saw it today too, it's between the two wooden bridges at the east end of the reserve mostly.
