April 19th was quite a big day for me at Kinnordy, not only were the Ospreys out in force but, the Marsh Harriers put on a show giving me some of my best photo opportunities yet.
My first sighting was a female over the reeds.
Not the most glamorous of shots but I'll take it.

Lovely light today.
Darks skies and sunshine are my favourite.
Just love that dark sky behind her. She flew around hunting quite near the hide for what seemed like ages, it was a few minutes.
I'd never been able to get any decent shots up until now, was I smiling?
Then the male showed up.
He really is quite a striking bird.
I couldn't get a good shot of his back colours, this was the best of that session.
This was definitely one of my best days out with the camera, so far.
I really must force myself to visit more often but I tend to want a walk as well as bird photography.
